Smedley's Suites

So, this isn't a luxury hotel, and there's no AC, there's stairs to climb to the rooms, and there’s the main road through town outside with "late night" bars playing music nearby... But, the room I was in had a decent kitchen and nice bathroom. There was plenty of space and the spa/hottubs (access included!) were surprisingly nice! I would stay here again!

Great rustic place to stay. Clean. Location was excellent. Paul the owner was extremely helpful on places to go. Very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Best ice cream in the West! Huckleberry will make your dreams come true. Don’t forget the waffle cone! Excellent, friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere.

This place and the owner were fantastic. My husband and I brought our 3 daughters here for Christmas vacation. The soaking pools were amazing. The suite that we rented was so cute and cozy. Price was even better. We will be coming back this summer, can't wait to stay with y'all again !

We stayed in the Spa Suite for a couple of days. The owner is very nice, but doesn't allow any accommodation to their policies. We had friends that we'd been with who came down very ill, and we'd just started to show mild symptoms prior to our trip, so I called 10 days ahead of time to ask about canceling our reservation, and were told we'd be charged $250 regardless (the cost of one night). We decided to make the trip, sick and all instead of losing the money.. That said, when we arrived, the owner was outside and greeted us. He was very friendly and helpful. He gave us access to the mineral spas that were beneath our room. The room itself was put together nicely, and the bed was good. The only thing that we didn't enjoy about the 'spa suite' is how noisy it is. Since the room's access and windows are in the ally between businesses, there is a lot of noise early in the morning and into the evening. There is an outdoor walk-in fridge that has a loud AC unit that runs all hours, and vent pipes start making loud noise early in the morning. One thing we didn't realize is that there are bears that walk the town at night. One tried getting into the dumpster by the entrance to our room around 3am - when the lid slammed shut, it woke me from a dead sleep. We also went to the Smedly restaurant. The food and service were very good. He has foreign exchange students' help at the restaurant - they are friendly and attentive.

Cool place to stay gives you the feel of days gone by older historic building and slower pace of life. Loved the hot whirlpool area that was available to people who rented a room. Felt great after a long day of hiking. Service and booking of room was quick and easy.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The owner and his staff were very nice and helpful. It snowed during our stay (June) and my husband looked out the window to see the staff cleaning snow off our car. That is service and it was much appreciated. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed to cook. The room we stayed in was large and clean. My only complaint would be the bed made a noise anything you moved. We will defiantly be returning! Thank you so much for everything.

Nice location, old West vibe which was fun staying in Silverton . No AC but at night that was fine with fans and open windows. Very nice owners and good communication. Stairs kinda steep for carrying heavy luggage so be carefull. Excellent location, safe, quiet. We stayed Sultan 3. Oh, owners, please secure the toilet seat.
